  • “Mild summer night: in the sky
Not a star, in the deep forest
We sought each other in the dark
    And found one another.”

The 200th birthday of concert pianist, composer, wife, mother of 8 children, program planner, and editor Clara Schumann invites reflection: To this day, women composers often stand in the shadow of their husbands, brothers, or simply their male counterparts. Around 20 composers from Clara Schumann, Alma Mahler to Isabel Mundry and Juliana Hall together tell tales of (broken) love, loneliness, grief, doubt, and small moments of happiness.

This concert is available in the media library of Swiss Radio SRF 2 Kultur.
