As already in 2023, this years 7th RHONEFESTIVAL is hosting various concerts throughout the year celebrating the Art of Lieder: the WINTER CONCERT and SPRING CONCERTS, along with the #LIEDINNOVATION, celebrate Johann Wolfgang von Goethe's 275th birthday and the 245th anniversary of his 2nd Swiss journey, during which he also wandered through Valais. The SUMMER CONCERT #SWISSNESS, featuring exclusively music from Swiss composers, puts Swiss composer Frank Martin in the spotlight on the occasion of his 50th death anniversary, with his „Jedermann Monologues" being performed. The AUTUMN CONCERT pays tribute to composer Alma Mahler MAHLER on her 60th death anniversary, as well as the Viennese salon music of her time. The finale will be the 5th #LIEDINNOVATION, held in collaboration with the multimedia festival BergBuchBrig.
